Shortly after announcing a BuddyPress integration, Tutor LMS just introduced a great new feature that allows you to boost the credibility of your WordPress LMS platform with ease. Say hello to certificate validation.
Tutor LMS already allows you to generate course certificates. Now, wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to verify these certificates? Nowadays more and more students are using e-learning platforms to better qualify for their jobs and education. The latest update comes with a public URL for certificates. Prospective employers can easily use this to verify the validity of certificates that a student has earned through your website.
Once students have completed an online class, they can view a certificate page right from the course page which is unique to each online course. There they can simply copy the link to the certificate’s page and share it with their future employers for instance. Via social share button, the certificates can also easily be shared on social media. You will also be able to directly share it to various social media platforms using the social share buttons. Students can also download them, but just as an image. A PDF might be a better option though.
Note this feature is only available for Tutor LMS Pro and requires the ImageMagick (Imagick) PHP module to be installed on your server. You can easily check this in your WordPress dashboard at Tools > Site Health.
In other news, Tutor LMS added new filters that will allow you to change the default slug of courses and lessons.
PS: Themeum has recently updated the lesson preview feature with an improved UI to make it easier for potential students to decide whether to enroll in the course. Finally, they will soon release an integration with Oxygen Builder, which is one of the most requested features of their community.
