After introducing their Request Money feature last year, TransferWise have recently announced that one of the much requested feature is finally here. Say hello to flexi-requests!
The brand-new flexi-request feature by TransferWise allows you to select your payer’s local currency when setting up the request. Thus you will be able to ask for €100 instead of the Euro equivalent of £87.45 for instance. This comes in quite handy especially when invoicing customers abroad.
However, you can still request money in your own currency. Here please make sure that the currency you need, and the one of your bank account are the same.
If the requested amount is in your currency (like before), the payer will cover the fees. If the requested amount is in theirs, you cover it as they are going pay the exact amount you asked for.
Flat Fee for Same-Currency Requests
Also TransferWise introduced a low flat fee for same-currency requests. It’s half of the “minimum fee” of a regular transfer covered by your payer. For a Euro to Euro payment, for instance, there is only a fee of just €1. Great isn’t it?
Soon your customers will be able to pay you in loads of new currencies including USD. Stay tuned!
